Getting back to job might be tough for some mothers like me who have left their careers for years. It’s not easy starting all over again, but lots of other mothers managed to do so.

One of my friend has even made it big with her salon business and she’s expanding her business now. She’s looking for more beauticians who are interested in looking for salon job but she said it’s not easy to find a good candidate. If only we have websites like www.beautyjobs.com here, then my friend might have better luck in looking for potential beauticians.

She told me it’s not easy to start over again, and frankly, I don’t have the initiative and motivation to start a business on my own now. I’m so happy being a full time mother, I don’t feel like changing the current situation.

I guess the whole nation is overwhelming by the Chua Soi Lek’s sex scandal where he openly admitted that he’s the one “featured” in the sex CD. I don’t care about what he said or what he will do. You can argue that he doesn’t have moral since he’s the Health Minister, but if he’s only working as a ordinary used cisco seller, there will not be any news about the scandal. Most men cheat, but it’s their families that hurt the most.

It’s his wife and family that I’m more concerned about. It’s not easy to her to accept this, and the same goes for the 3 children. She said that she will forgive her husband and face this as a family, but I wonder if that’s really her answer or some official statement to “save” her husband’s “face” or reputation?

I know a mother of five who had graduated from her doctorate a year ago. I admired her determination in pursuing her dream while doing well in her mothering role. It’s not easy to juggle a family and a doctorate degree at the same time, but she inspired a lot of women that dreams do come true.

If you have plans of pursuing in higher education, you can think about getting your master degree by studying online. There are various online courses available from Capella University, and if you are interested in masters in counseling, you can take a look at the course details and facilities provided.

I would give this a pass. Having a master degree is not part of my dream anymore.

I seldom watch TV but I’m trying to make up some time for DVD and TV shows after my kids have fallen asleep. I don’t stay with my blogs that much now, and it’s something good to me. I want to spend some time with hubby too since we hardly have time for each other after we have kids. Watching movies together at home may sound boring, but we can’t just go out like couples anymore!

As long as both of us are ok about this, I think it’s quite romantic. LOL!

My mom has always warned me to take good care of myself and don’t let go of my beauty regime even if I’m a mother. Most mothers are busy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take the extra effort to look good and nice. I was a picky bride who wanted everything to be perfect. Even for something as simple as my wedding flower, I wanted to get it designed and customized as well. I wonder if I should use the word honeymoon as the title? LOL! Hubby and I will be away for 3 days without the kids and my mom will help me to take care of them when we are away. I don’t know how she will manage them, but they are old enough to be left under my mom’s supervision and my dad will help out as well.

My parents enjoy taking care of them whenever we are back, and my kids love to stay with them too. If it’s not because of that HDMI splitters not working too well and the internet connection is so terrible, I will go back more often. We will try our best to go back at least once a month and my kids are very close to their maternal grandparents.

I think hubby and I can really enjoy ourselves and worry less about the kids because they will be well taken care of. I really need the honeymoon. LOL!

I am not good at remember dates, but it’s getting worse since the day I became a mother. All I remember well is my kids’ birthdays and nothing else. The same goes to hubby, so both of us didn’t realize our wedding anniversary until a few days later.

He should have brought me one of those anniversary gift baskets with things that I like in it, but he didn’t. If he remembers, I should be getting one. Both of us really don’t have time for ourselves as a couple anymore, and it’s really bad. We will try to work things out now, and besides being parents, we have to remind ourselves that everything started from us as a couple.

I have only a maid, and she’s been working for me for more than 2 years. I’m not sure if she’s going to stay for another year, but without a maid, I will just be a lot more busier.

That’s why I cannot possible go back to work, not until my kids are older. Some mothers will also think about this matter, should we go back to work? And how can we find a job? My mum is a breast cancer patient, but she recovered from it. It was not an easy process for all of us and I was away at university during those years. When I got back home, I would try to help her out with the chores and let her rest as much as possible. But my mum refused to be treated as a patient, she’s really a tough woman, or should I say a survival?

She went through mastectomy, radiation and chemotherapy during those years, but she hardly look like she’s sick. I only cried once, which was the moment we found out about her cancer, but since then, all of us tried to make it through with her. It’s not easy, but we did it. Facing a cancer is not only a personal matter, it involves the whole family to work together and support the patient as much as we can.

I used to do the self examination by myself before I got pregnant. But during my days as a moo, I stopped. It’s confusing if you found a milk ducts or blockage. So, I didn’t examine myself for the past few years. Now, I will have to make it into a habit of examining myself once a month. If you would like to know more about it, check out the video clip.
