Gold for Kids

I think I will start saving up to buy gold for my kids. I’ve been shopping a lot lately, but those things won’t bring me any profit over the years. Unlike gold, I will be able to sell it off when the price is good, and judging from its ever increasing price, it should be a good investment.

Maybe I will find out more about the gold price from the goldsmith shops later. We are dropping by the shopping complexes again. If the price is good, I will get something nice for my children. Hopefully, I can find some nice gold designs which are suitable for children.

Kids at Work

My kids have always been well informed about our plan to move away but I’m not sure if they will be able to adapt well in a new environment.

For the first month, we plan to bring them to work with us as it’s more about setting up a new office and I am not too busy. It’s more like office furniture arrangement, looking for VoIP phone systems, and setting up a company website, so we can still cope with the kids at work. Once they are used to the new home, we will send them to the local preschool to learn Thai officially.

We hope to take every little step slowly instead of a drastic change. Kids need more time to adapt and I don’t want them to have culture shock later!

Art and Craft To Keep Kids Busy

When we were in KL days ago, hubby was busy working so we didn’t go out during the day. My kids are used to running around in a spacious house and garden, staying in a small apartment is not something they like. Nonetheless, I let them watch some videos and keep them busy with art and craft.

My boy was asked to do a rain hat for his music class, so I thought of teaching him how to make one with a balloon, newspapers, glue and water color. We sprinkled some shimmering powder on it later when it’s almost done and this project took us 2 days to be completed. Of course, we only did it in less than 2 hours each day, and it’s long enough to keep my kids busy.

  So, how’s that? LOL!

Diaper vs Nappy

I just bought another big pack of diapers just now and I was wondering, how much have I been spending on diapers for the past 3 years? Another month from now my boy will be 3 years old and he’s still on diapers at night!

My gal will still be on diapers when we are going out and when she sleeps. Other than that, she will let us know when she wants to go or just wet herself. I think we save up a lot on diapers as comparing to a year ago. My kids didn’t wear nappies for long. Once they started crawling at 7 - 8 months old, I didn’t put nappies on them anymore.

But if you really want to save up on diapers, you may try to use more nappies and get those cloth diapers from bumgenius at Mia Bambina.

Cloth diapering has never been so easy!
bumGenius! one-size cloth diapers offer an industry first, stretch-to-fit tabs (patent pending). The comfortable fit and simple design make cloth diapering as easy as using disposables. This simplicity makes the bumGenius! one-size cloth diaper perfect for care providers who might be resistant to cloth diapering (including daycares)!
Less Clutter
bumGenius! One-Size Cloth Diapers easily fit babies from 8 pounds up to 35 pounds. One diaper for multiple children simplifies laundry and the diaper drawer. No more sorting by size or having to carry multiple diapers when going out. Three snap-downs on the front of the diaper (patent pending) adjust the rise as your baby grows.

I should have got these when my kids were young! I would save up more on diapers by now.

Job Discrimination

I overheard a conversation between a mother and their kids one day, and I doubt that was a right way of education the children. The mother asked her kids to study hard so that they will not end up working as construction workers, just like those Indonesian workers in our country. I think it’s not right to teach the kids in such a way. They will learn to discriminate people and looking down at them by the jobs they are doing.

Some of the workers at construction field can be considered as professionals, in their professions. It’s not easy to operate the heavy machinery equipments and they are specially trained at Heavy Equipment Operator School. A good heavy equipment operator school like ATS may even help the students to get jobs at construction fields, after they are graduated. Besides, do you think you can work under the sun all day long while running the heavy machines? It takes a lot of physical hardship to do the job right.

Not everyone will end up as a doctor or a lawyer. Without these construction workers, we don’t even have a roof over our head. So, that is not the way I am going to bring up my kids.

Kids Update

I can’t update my kids blog because it is down due to CPU overloading. I have no idea how long will this take as my web host is transferring my domain to another server. I will be losing money as I have rejects that can’t be fixed in time, and ads that won’t be paid.

On top of that, I can’t update about my kids for a while, and would have to do so in other blogs. Gee….I really hate this and hope that things can be speed up. It’s really torturing for a blogaholic like me.

PR for This Blog

I got Samm’s SMS this morning, telling me that the PR has been updated, and this blog has a rank of 3. I was so happy to hear that! But then, when I got back and check, it’s still the same, as oval as an egg!

I wonder if the PR of this blog will increased or not as the traffic is pathetically low. Sometimes, I doubt I’m only blogging it for myself. :P So, got to do something to increase the PR huh?

New Hosting for This Blog

Previously, this blog was hosted with blogger, but I bought the domain name. After much consideration, I hosted on own domain now. Why? I’ve started posting opps for PPP on this blogs. Well, previously I had also posting a few opps for other companies, and since most companies prefers bloggers with own domains, I may as well host on my own too.

I’ve made enough money to support all my domains and thus, it’s a reinvestment. Even if I don’t use the money on hosting, I will waste it somewhere on irrelevant shopping anyway. Why not direct it into something meaningful?

I love blogging, and love making money from it. So, to me, this is better to be done on own domain.
