A Special Christmas Gift

I haven’t prepared my Christmas gifts but I have some rough idea on what to get for my kids. If you have looking for a nice gift for your man, you can consider about the Miami Heat Tickets. Most guys love sports and they will love it if they can watch the live matches at the stadiums. So, I think it’s a nice gift for fathers who loves sports.

I wonder if Premium Seats USA have tickets for any golf tournaments? My hubby will be more interested in golf as comparing to other sports now. But to me, I hope to get some concert tickets. It’s been years since the last concert I went.

Research Papers

I’m one of those who didn’t have much problem when preparing for most of my projects in university. I would represent the group to present the projects too, if no one was going to do it. Thus, it’s always easy for me to get group members.

But if you have some difficulties in writing your Research Papers, you may think about getting help from Essay Capital. They have professional writers to help you out.

However, just give it a try first, it’s not so hard when it comes to writing.

Ban Rubber Clogs?

If you follow my other blogs, you would know that I love to get Crocs shoes for my kids and myself. Even my hubby is wearing a pair of Crocs too. But it seems like it’s getting some highlight from CAP (Consumer Association of Penang) as quoted from The Star:

CAP: Ban rubber clogs

RUBBER clogs should be banned as they pose a safety hazard, especially to children, Consumer Association of Penang (CAP) president S. M. Mohamed Idris said.

He said incidences of clogs getting stuck in escalators had been reported in the United States, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

He said there had been reports of children who almost have their toes ripped off when their rubber clogs got stuck in escalators.

Mohamed Idris said there was a similar incident in Penang recently involving a four-year-old boy whose clog was stuck in the escalator at a mall.

“Authorities should not wait until somebody is grievously injured before taking action,” he told a press conference yesterday.

Mohamed Idris urged the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry to tell the manufacturers to recall the rubber clogs, especially those of a certain US brand that was manufactured in China.

The four-year-old victim in Penang, Aaron Teoh, who was present at the press conference, said his left clog was damaged after it got stuck in an escalator.

“The clog is rosak (spoilt),” he said, adding that the incident occurred when he went shopping with his mother V. Manglesvary.

Manglesvary said the mall management had informed her that another boy, who was wearing a similar pair of clogs, also experienced the same mishap.

It’s spoilt: Aaron showing the clog that got stuck in an escalator.

My boy’s Crocs is not from the same design, but my gal’s clogs are. Besides that, I think you can easily find those RM10 pirated clogs from pasar malam too. So, are they going to ban it? If they do, they I will just dump all the shoes away. Simple only mah…

The CD is Here!

I wrote a review on this CD for babies and kids, and I ordered it immediately after posting. I’m so glad to receive it today, and I just can’t wait to share the CD with my kids. They are taking their naps downstairs and we don’t have a CD player in the playroom.

But sorry about the picture, it’s very hard to get a sharper image since I didn’t take out the cover when I snapped the photo. I’m listening to the CD right now, it’s really good. It will be great as Quiet Time songs for my kids too.

Luxurious Baby Stuffs

My kids are getting older now, and my baby gal is no longer a baby. However, I still love to look at those tiny baby clothes when I shop at the baby departmental store. Don’t you think those baby clothes are cute? But by all means, I have no intention to have another baby so that I can purchase the baby clothes! Luckily, I can always get them for someone else.

Too bad I only knew about celebrity baby clothing from AistaBrat now, if not I will get some for my babis.

Just take a look at this onesie, don’t you think it’s cute? It has Swarovski crystal-encrusted logo at the back of the onesie too! Now, that is something luxurious for a baby clothing. No wonder those celebrities like Nicole Ritchie and Tori Spelling love the brand. These clothes have rock and roll or punk elements too. :)

I know that I am not suppose to promote pacifier. Introducing a pacifier to a young baby may interfere with your initiative in breastfeeding and maybe reduce your baby’s suckling on your breasts. Besides nipple confusion, you may experience a lower milk production due to lesser stimulation.

But just take a look at how luxurious can a pacifier be:

The pacifiers from High Society are designed with signature quality fulled with Swarovski crystals! You don’t have to introduce it to your baby, if you decide to get one. Just treat it as a keep sake just for collection, if you can afford it. They are really nice.

Fisher Price Toys

I was thinking of getting some new toys for my kids so that they won’t feel bored on the plane, but when I was browsing through the racks of toys, I was attracted to the toys by Fisher Price, as usual. However, I didn’t get any.

Fisher-Price toys being recalled due to toxic content (updated)

PETALING JAYA: Mattel South-East Asia (Malaysia) Pte Ltd is recalling three made-in-China Fisher-Price products because they have excessive amounts of lead.

In the United States, Fisher-Price announced today it is recalling 83 types of toys, including the popular Big Bird, Elmo, Dora and Diego characters, because of excessive amounts of lead in their paint.

However, according to Mattel South-East Asia Pte Ltd (Malaysia) marketing manager Cheok Ching Won, only three of the 83 toys are being sold in Malaysia.

The three toys — Barney Best Manner Phone (serial number B6966), Sing N Play Alphabook (B7418) and Sesame Street Giggle Surprise Giggle (C1211) — are amongst the nearly one million toys US toy giant Fisher-Price said it was recalling.

The recall involved 967,000 plastic preschool toys made by a Chinese vendor, and sold in the United States between May and August.

It is the latest in a wave of recalls that has heightened global concern about the safety of Chinese-made products.

The recall is the first for Fisher-Price Inc and parent company Mattel Inc involving lead paint. It is the largest for Mattel since 1998 when Fisher-Price had to recall about 10 million Power Wheels from toy stores.

Cheok said letters had been sent out to all leading departmental and toy speciality stores where the products were sold. She added that the retailers were asked to remove the affected toys from their stores immediately.

“Advertisements will be placed in the newspapers as soon as possible to inform the public on the matter, and those who had purchased the toys will get a full refund from Mattel.

“The affected toys were manufactured between April 19 and July 6 by a manufacturer in China, and during that period less than 500 of the three products were distributed to the respective stores nationwide,” she said.

According to her, photos of the three products would be included in the announcement in local newspapers to make it easier for the public to identify them.

“Our priority is to ensure the safety of the children, and therefore necessary steps are being taken,” she added.

It is learnt that although the three products were available in the country since January, the excessive amounts of lead in the paint was only discovered since a new manufacturer had produced the toys within that period.

News from The Star Online.

Of course, I am fully aware that the toys do not include those being sold over here, but subconsciously, I told myself it’s not the right time to get any from them. I have always loved to get their toys for my kids. They really design the toys to fit the babies and toddlers’ ages and development. It’s just too bad that Iwill give it a pass for the time being.

Home Theater

I don’t watch much TV, in fact I can survive without TV for days. But there are a lot of mothers around me who enjoy watching the Hong Kong series from Astro on Demand. Wherever I go and whoever I meet, most of the time, I will be asked if I’m subscribing to Astro on Demand! It’s one of the hottest topics among “si lai”. LOL!

So, if you are a big fan of the series, maybe a complete and sophisticated set of home theater system will something for you. If we are going to enjoy the shows better, then the speakers, the surround systems, big screen TV and even projector will be part of the home theater system that you should get.

If you are interested, hop over to Houston furniture and check out the offers and bargains featured on their website. Too bad I

Online Study

Mothers who are dreams of pursuing their degrees or higher will not have to delay their plans further as they can always do so by studying online.

There are lots of universities which offers great education opportunities, either locally or from oversea. All of which have various courses to offer, and some provides further studies up to doctorate degree as well.

If you think it’s harder to study online, think again. There are thousands of graduates who graduated by online learning every year. Some of them can afford to quit their jobs, some have kids to be taken care of, just like us, or some just prefer to study at flexible hours. No matter what are the reasons, online learning is possible and successful.

Thus, if you want to know more about this, check out capella university for more info.

Europe Trip

My brother has been to Europe for a few times as he always hit the company’s annual target, and gets most of the trips free. As for me, I don’t work, so it’s impossible for me to win any free trip to Europe.

If we are going, we will bring along the kids too, and thus by my mental calculation, we will easily need more than RM10k for a trip like this! On top of that, I prefer to go free and easy as my kids  will be coming along. As you know, if you are used to traveling with kids, it’s quite impossible to impose a tight schedule on them. Sometimes, kids can be unpredictable.

Thus, if we are going to places like Rome, the only way of saving up is to get great hotels in cheaper prices. Luckily, Rome is the capital city of Italy and the abundance of Rome hotels has made travel easier. There are lots of museum with collection of art, culture, history and tourist spots worth visiting.

Since the flight ticket to Europe is fairly expensive, if time is permitted, I would like to drop by Barcelona too. I only got to know how nice it is after the Olympic Games. Furthermore, there was a Chinese series which showed how nice Barcelona is, and I hope that I get to visit the place at least once in my life time.

And to plan for a Europe trip, I will probably get more info online from sites like Easytobook.com. They have a list of hotel for Amsterdam too. Mmm….I haven’t been there, and it is worth a thought.

Vacuum

My kids are very sensitive so sometimes I can be very particular about cleanliness. I was told that there is a vacuum which can removed dust mites, and I’m very interested to know more about it!

I guess I can get one from best dyson vacuums online because there are lots of models available.

Besides that, they have to be effective in removing stains too as you know how dirty it wil be when your kids are eating by themselves, if you are a mother. :)
