I’m Last On List

I’m beginning to like my life here, even if I’m so occupied, but I know that things will get better years later. I have to sacrifice some of the “luxury” stuffs I did before, but hopefully I will have more time for that when the business stabilized.

Anything about me has to be pushed aside to make ways for my kids and hubby. I spend more time at the kitchen to ensure that they are eating healthily while hubby brings the kids for a swim or to the playground. When I have my free time, I knit for them. I didn’t even have time for exercising, so I think I’m getting fatter soon! LOL! Maybe it’s time to get to the gym and spend some time on the elliptical. We have gym facility here, and I don’t even have time to go there. :(

Hopefully, I will have time for exercising soon.

Getting Better

Things have been going well in Bangkok these days and even if I’m busier than ever, I am really happy with our new home and new life. For the time being, I only want my kids to cope well staying in a foreign land and help my hubby in building his business. I might not be able to help him as much as I want to, but I will do my best.

Maybe I should go back to school mba to gain more knowledge in how to manage our business huh? If it can be done online, it might not be too hard for me to achieve. But then again, it might be too tiring for me now.

Maybe someday I will get an MBA. Who knows? It’s too hard to tell the future.

Lost and Found

I was composing the previous post and suddenly there was a power failure. I thought I lost my post, but thanks to computer memory and auto save function, my post was still there when the power returned. Luckily, it’s not one of those lengthy posts with photos and emotional details. LOL!

Anyway, it’s a weekend and I have plans for my family. Have a nice weekend ya?

No Car in Bangkok

Hubby plans to buy a pick up truck in Bangkok, and I told him upfront that I am not too keen to drive one there. Double parking is common in Bangkok but I don’t have the skills to park the truck nicely in a narrow space. I don’t want to hit other cars and get myself in any trouble when I can’t speak their language well!

However, it’s much safer to drive a truck since the traffic is pretty bad there. We came across a few road accidents when we were there, and one of the cars were badly wrenched. I think it’s impossible to be repaired and can only send to midwest auto recycling for better use!

So, I might lose my fun of driving around once I move to Bangkok. I wonder how long can I stand before asking hubby to get another car for me?

Expats in Bangkok Soon

Hubby had just told me about going off to Bangkok again this month, and we are still thinking if the kids are coming along. We have to be there to settle some documents of the new company and shopping for the new home. We rented a house, but it’s not completely furnished with everything yet. I would say it’s still far from being a home!

Actually, hubby is worrying about the kids. When we went there in February and left the kids with my parents, they had a hard time getting adjusted to days without mommy and daddy. My gal cried herself to sleep most of the nights and it’s heart breaking knowing about this. That’s why I asked hubby to think about this seriously. If he’s really on a business trip, it’s best to leave the kids here even if all of us will be suffering from separation anxiety. Most importantly, we know that things can be done faster and on schedule if we don’t have to take care of the kids for a few days. But if they are coming along, the working and traveling schedule will have to be changed to fit our children’s pace and needs.

We will be back here again in May before leaving to Bangkok shortly after. I wonder if my kids can take that much traveling in a month? There are so much to think about now, let’s see how soon we can all move over to Bangkok and start a new life there.

Learning Thai

I don’t know much about cars and neither does hubby. We used to leave everything to the ex-driver and he sent the cars for regular service or maintenance. I think we have been relying too much on him and now it’s best for us to learn more about how to take care of our cars. When we move to Bangkok later, we will have to settle everything on our own, so that includes how to take care of a car too!

I think we have to learn some parts of a car in Thai language too. We can order an Integra Radiator online but it might take too long to reach us. It’s more convenient if we can correspond with the local mechanic fluently in Thai as most of them can’t speak English. There are so much to do and learn about our new home. However, I think we can manage well if we put our effort into it.

Driving An Old Car?

Hubby’s car had some problem when we drove down to KL days ago. Luckily, we managed to drive all the way to his apartment safely and he took the car for repairing later that afternoon. It’s not an old car so it’s easier to get it fixed at the car manufacturer’s workshop. If it’s an old car, I think it will take a long time for it to be repaired.

I used to drive an old car when I was studying and it’s not that safe to be driven on the highways. Frankly, I think old cars should be sent to midwest auto recycling instead of being on the road. Nonetheless, I know that not everyone can afford to buy a new car and the public transport systems may not be well developed everywhere in our country. So, just make sure that your old car is working well, ok?

No Maid for 2 Weeks

We sent our maid off this morning and it’s my first day without a maid after 3 years. I managed to handle the kids well all by myself when we reached home, but I don’t like to do the chores. LOL! I have to clean up the room because it’s quite dusty as we were away for days. Luckily, my kids were great and they played with the toys while I did a quick mopping on the floor. But there are tonnes of laundry to be done tomorrow and I hate ironing! I’m so lazy huh? LOL!

But then again, I didn’t have a maid before this one and we did well anyway. I just have to get myself used to doing the house chores and handling my kids at the same time. Thank god school starts on Monday!

I’m Stressed Of Moving

I gave up. After packing up some of our stuffs, I know that it’s not possible for me to do everything by myself. I can’t seem to fit the things in the carton boxes or luggages unless we have more. Besides that, it’s already more than 30kg if we move some of the kids’ books. Gosh, I’m going insane. Give me movers New York now!

Luckily hubby agreed that we should just let the international movers to do the job now. He saw me packing and driving myself nuts just now. LOL! Let me say this again. Moving is hard. It’s stressful for kids and it’s worse for me.

Leaving Next Week

Hubby and I are going away to set up our home and office in Bangkok next week. We will only be there for a few days, so everything is a rush to us. We have to set up the Call Center VoIP Phone Systems at the office too if time permits. We are trying to start the business running as soon as possible so that things can settle down faster before the kids are moving over the Bangkok.

Frankly, we can just leave them behind for my mum, but hubby is very reluctant. A family is not complete if we are separated. Even if we can make lots of long distance calls back home, but it won’t be the same if we can’t give them hugs and kiss them goodnight.

It’s going to be hard for us initially, but I know that things will get better a few years down the road.
