Driving in Bangkok

I like to stay away from the busy city of Bangkok because I hate to spend too much time getting stuck in a lousy traffic. If I have a driver like some expats here, then I won’t mind being stuck in a traffic. All you need to do is just take a nap to kill the time anyway. But if you are driving, you have to stay alert! I’ve seen a driver who slept in the car after queuing for more than 20 minutes on a road. Frankly, I almost dozed off myself too, but I kept talking to hubby to keep myself (or HIM) awake.

I don’t know how those people which mobile homes do it by driving around all day. It’s too tiring for me. I know how it feels after I’ve starting working for hubby. Not to mention experiencing a car break down on a busy road! That’s pretty awful too. Of course, there are motor home repairs for your mobile homes or a mobile mechanic for our cars, but I bet getting one here who can speak in English is pretty hard.

So, unless it’s really necessary for me to travel around for work or for picking up the kids, rather than that, I won’t drive into the city. Let’s just take a cab!

Boring Weekend

It’s a boring weekend for me as hubby is down with fever and the boy is slightly affected too. My gal started coughing again last week but it’s not too serious. I guess they haven’t been eating well when I was away, and hubby is lack for rest too. So now he knows how tired I am each time when he’s away. LOL!

No matter what, hubby has to recover by tomorrow as I will be very busy next week. I need to visit some customer, and shall leave home early. He has to attend to the kids and get them ready for school in time. :P

What to do? He’s the one who passed his business to me, so I have to work harder to buy gold for him huh? LOL!

Back in Bangkok

I’m back! After a week of rotting in Penang, I just can’t wait to be home with the kids again. :) As much as I’ve prepared myself that the house will be in a total mess, but I still got a shock seeing the amount of clothes piling up on the sofa waiting to be folded or ironed, the floor was quite sticky as it’s only mopped once during the 7 days I was away, and the dishes were piling up on the drying rack!!! Actually, there are more, but you got what I mean!

So, I shall put away my dream of having an all-girls holiday with my friends at Branson vacations or a shopping trip to Hong Kong. I don’t think I can enjoy much knowing that I will be home doing more chores than usual. LOL!

Anyway, it’s great to be home. :) I shall get back to bento-ing next week.

Home Soon

Time flies. My short break back home is over soon and I will be flying back to Bangkok tomorrow. Frankly, I can’t wait to go home! As much as I enjoy my stay here, but my heart longs to be there with my kids.

I’ve got my visa yesterday, and the rest of the paperwork and approval will be done in Bangkok. So, I’ll probably be busy as soon as I reach there. As much as I have tried my best to work from here, but I know what things are piling up on my office table. :P I’ll probably take a few days to clear them out.

Besides that, the house should be in a total mess. I’m not sure if hubby has cleared out the mails and bills from our mailbox, and it’s not that we have a lot of wall mounted mailboxes! But all this while, it’s me who clear out the house mailboxes everyday. It’s rainy season in Bangkok, and if you don’t clear out the mails in time, they might get soaked up in the wall mount mailboxes. Worse still, you might also catch one or 2 lizards living under your mails!!! Yucks!

Next would be cleaning up the house. I know that hubby is busy at work, and once he got the kids home from school, he doesn’t have much time to do the house chores either. I can almost imagine the laundry piling up, dishes accumulating on the dish rack (he washes them but might not put them back in the cupboard), and my kids’ stuff all scattered around in the living room.

Nonetheless, it would be nice to be home. I might nag when I’m cleaning up the place, but nothing beats the feeling of being at home….in Bangkok of course!

Easy to find schools la… :P

It’s so funny that when I’m so busy in Bangkok, I wish that I would have some free time on my own, going somewhere and have a short break to recharge myself. But now that my wish has come true, I feel so bored in Penang. :P

Nonetheless, I managed to meet up with some friends and it’s good to catch up with them again. As usual, I got some updates about their kids, School matters, work or just plain gossip. LOL! It’s nice to finally see them again in persons instead of chatting in Facebook. :P

On top of that, I’ve just found out that my friend’s husband works in Bangkok once in a while. No wonder she mentioned about moving to Bangkok last time. LOL!  I guess I can help her to find a suitable and affordable Private School if she needs some info, and it would be nice to have another friend here. But then, it’s just a talk. Actually, it’s not hard to get into a private school in Bangkok, as long as you can afford it. Best still, if your company pays for it! LOL! Too bad hubby’s contract doesn’t stated that. Sigh…

I really miss the kids. I’m sooooo counting down to the day I’ll be flying back to Bangkok!

Going Home

Yeap, I’m going home next week! Like I’ve mentioned before, I’ll only fly back on my own while hubby will take care of the kids here. Of course, the worries and doubts are still there, but I have to put some faith in hubby. :P

It’s only 3 days that I will be away, so I guess he can manage everything. The grandparents are clearly quite disappointed that the kids can’t go home with me since they haven’t seen them for months, so we shall see if we can bring the kids back during their holiday. Better still, if the grandparents can just come here and babysit them! LOL! But my mom had already told me, most probably, they won’t be coming. :(

Anyway, I’ll fly back with an almost empty luggage and bring back a lot of stuffs! If time permits, I’ll search for some toys or personalized gifts for the kids. I swear that I won’t be like hubby who just buys chocolate from the airport duty free each time he’s away. :P

Busy

It’s another crazy working week for me, so I could only come out with one kyaraben. For the rest of the days, I only packed plain looking bentos, which my kids have no problem taking them either. But of course, I know that they wish to see something nice in their meals, and they already told me what they would like me to fix.

Again, their wish bentos are so complicated! Anything that requires tracing and cutting multi-colored egg sheets is complicated and time consuming to me. :P However, I shall just try my best to squeeze some time out if possible.

I better clear some of my blogging job, paper work, customer requests and etc this weekend. I probably won’t have time to get the video card nor the iPhone today as well. Sigh…

If you haven’t known it, my boy dropped my phone, AGAIN. This time, the cover gets loose, and I have to use a tape to secure it. Sigh…But then, my N95 has been serving me well for 4 years? So, it’s time to let it go.

Not into fashion

My hubby has never into fashion, cars or gadgets. I’m not sure if I should be happy about this, but that means that he hardly spends much. :P I’m thinking of grabbing him some working shirts and mens ties during this end of season sale as he has not update his wardrobe for some time. As for trousers, he will need to try them out to fit the length.

I wonder if it’s a guy’s thing that they hardly care much about their look? But my brother is quite the opposite. He dresses quite well. The same goes for my hubby’s young brother. Funny la, I do wish my hubby is keen into men fashion. Not the fancy cars please, they are too expensive!

Have a nice weekend

It’s Friday, and I plan to leave work early to do some grocery at the wet market. I hope that I can get some fresh prawns for dinner tonight. My boy is craving for cheese baked prawns, and I’m so going to fix some for him. :) I know it’s fattening, but hey, that’s what those fat burner reviews are all about! Eat first and if you gain weight, try to find a solution to shed it off. :P

Actually, I will still be back to work tomorrow, tagging along my 2 kids to my office. But after working so hard for the past few days, I shall take things easy and try to relax this weekend. I only have a meeting tomorrow, and it’s not going to be a hard one.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Unsafe

Called my mom last night and found out that my granny’s house was broken into when she’s still at home! She’s safe and sound, but they lost quite a lot. First lesson learned, do not keep your gold at home! It’s always safer to keep your jewelry and gold in the safe deposit at the bank, if you do not need to wear much. I haven’t seen my collection for years and I guess mine is still safely kept in the bank back home?

It seems like it’s getting very unsafe back home. Maybe some people might want to check out home insurance reviews. There were 2 cases of burglary in my area too, both happened in fully furnished but unoccupied homes. So, those security guards better do their job well!
