Home Care Service

When my grandaunt was ill, my aunt hired a maid to take care of her as everyone had to go out to work. The maid was good, but she didn’t have medical knowledge like a nurse. She could take care of my grandaunt on simple tasks, but when it came to giving medication, my aunt would rush back from work to feed her the med.

We knew about home care nurses but it’s quite expensive here in Malaysia. Unlike the US, you might be able to find a home care assistant from Fort Lauderdale Home Health Care. I’m not sure about their charges, but if you are interested, you can check out the link.

Anyway, my grandaunt passed away a few years ago, and to me, I think it’s a relieve to her. She had been senile for many years and suffering from illness.

Herpes Zoster Infection?

I suspect that one of our office staffs is having some skin problem which is similar to Herpes Zoster Infection. I can’t be too sure about this as I only checked on the internet to know more about Herpes Zoster, but her skin has blister-like rashes just like the pictures. I hope that she will pay the doctor a visit soon and get some ailment for her skin. It’s getting worse and it’s not subsiding.

She really needs some antiviral drugs now, and I hope that she won’t delay her treatment any further. No matter what’s her skin disease is, I hope that it’s not contagious!

Medicine Names

I was checking my niece’s medication just now and I am not familiar with the names. They are different from what my kids had when they had cold when they were babies. Only a doctor knows the best about what to subscribe, so we just have to follow the prescriptions.

But if they are looking for free drug reference for iphone, they can always get one from Epocrates soon. It might be useful for them if they need to know more about a particular drug. Epocrates is working together with Apple to launch a drug guide for iPhone and maybe the product will be launched pretty soon.

For me, I will just have to remember those drugs which are common for children, so I don’t need a drug reference at all!

Stem Cell Technology

I found it surprising that stem cell technology is not that commonly known in Bangkok yet. My SIL didn’t store her baby’s stem cell as she wasn’t aware about this when she gave birth to her 5 months ago. Over back home, most parents are aware about this but it is a personal choice to or not to store your baby’s stem cell. It can be easily done that way and it is totally painless for both mother and baby.

Nonetheless, women can still do this again since stem cell can be harvested from menstrual fluid. The stem cell can then be transformed into different types of cells such as cardiac, neural as well as bone cell. Nonetheless, the cost of future stem cell therapies is not included.

But if you are interested to know more about C’elle Stem Cell Research Innovation, check out the link for more information. Take a look at C’elle Client Testimonial if you are still not convinced about this. By all means, if you can afford it, why not?

Storing My Stem Cell

I have started to think about this seriously. I have a family history of cancer, that’s why I decided to store the stem cell of my little girl. But recently, I found out that women can also store their stem cell from menstrual fluid, so it sounds like something great to me. It might be really costly, so it is best to find out more about the pros and cons and All About C’elle before you decided to do so.

On top of that, getting the stem cell from an adult is not as simple as it seems, but by harvesting it from menstrual fluid, it is totally painless. So, just think about this. I might want to do so if I can afford it. But firstly, I wonder what it takes to Become C’elle Distributor? I might just want to make some money if I can Become C’elle Distributor too. LOL!

But I’m too busy with my new life in Bangkok now, so I better don’t think about anything else except my kids and our new business.

Storing Stem Cell

We stored the stem cell of our second child because we felt that it’s important to do so even if we do not wish to use the stem cell in the future. It is just like getting an insurance coverage, you will be well protected if there is a medical condition. We didn’t do so for our first child, hopefully the stem cells are compatible for him as well. If you can afford it, keep the stem cell of your babies, and even if there are a few other methods of collecting stem cells now, but getting them from the umbilical cord blood is painless and easier.

At the same time, the baby’s stem cell might be able to protect the mother as well as stated by Cryo-Cell’s “Protect Baby, Protect Mom”. Most stem cell specimens are match for siblings and the mother, but more tests will have to be done before they can be used. Nonetheless, just treat it like a health care investment. No one hopes for illness or sickness, but if there is a better step of precaution, why don’t we give it a try? Free Online Drug Tool

Most of my blog buddies have started out more blogs in different niches because they are still serious about making money from blogging. I can’t do this anymore since I am pretty busy with my kids and a new life in Bangkok. I can’t seem to update all my existing blogs now, so let alone building new ones.

But if my any of my buddies have a medical blog, maybe they should try the free online drug reference tool for medical websites. It’s a widget which you can find more information about a drug. If you are interested, find out more about this from Epocrates.

Stem Cell from Menstrual Blood

When I was younger, I really wondered why should we have menstrual cycle every 28 days as it was so troublesome and I couldn’t enjoy my regular swimming or ballet as usual. But once I’ve become a mother, I started to appreciate this wonderful cycle which allows me to enjoy motherhood if I get pregnant at the right time.

Nonetheless, I’ve never thought that menstrual fluid can be harvested for its stem cell and be used for regeneration of useful cell. We stored our daughter’s stem cell when she was delivered. There is a cancer history in my family, so I thought we might just keep it.

But even if you are late to do so for your daughters or yourself, you can still keep the stem cell from your menstrual blood which has always been treated as a waste. Just check out the link if you are interested to know All About C’elle. I found that the introductory price is quite affordable, so besides getting your Celle Order Now, you can also Become C’elle Distributor if you are from US. I don’t think we have this service here yet, but who knows, it might be available one day.

Choosing The Maternity Hospital

There are a few hospitals here in Ipoh, and most of my friends prefer to give birth in private hospitals. One of my friend’s colleague had just given birth at one of the private hospital, but there were only two patients there in the whole maternity ward. This hospital is quite old, so it’s not one of the popular maternity hospital for most mothers now. Nonetheless, most of the nurses are very experienced and most mothers are quite satisfied with their service. But if I would to choose, I won’t go there. I’m quite timid when it comes to spending the nights at hospital.

I chose to give birth at the only baby friend initiated private hospital in Ipoh, and it is the most populated hospital in Ipoh as well. For my second baby, I hardly got a bed at the ward until I had given birth! There were a lot of mothers who gave birth that morning, so the beds were like “selling” like hot cakes. But I felt safe staying there. The disadvantage was you can hardly rest if you don’t have a private room. There will always be visitors around who’s visiting the new mothers or newborn babies.

The hospital which my SIL went to in Bangkok even provides weight loss programs to new mothers who want to lose weight and get back in shape faster. She didn’t take the program as it was quite expensive. So, if I’m going to have number 3 again and if I’m giving birth in Bangkok, I will go for the program. Just imagine losing the baby fat without lots of effort huh? That would be something great for me. LOL!

Woman Health Issues

I haven’t seen my gynae for some time. The last time I went to his clinic was a few months ago for pap smears test. Like some women, I don’t feel like seeing my gynae most of the time, unless it’s necessary. If I need to find out more about woman health issues.

One of the websites which provides such information is AskMyGyn, and it doesn’t only provide articles about woman health, you can also ask their certified gynecologists about anything until you are totally satisfied with their answers. Of course, you might need to pay a small amount of consultation fee, but they will refund the fee to you if you are not satisfied with the information provided. On top of that, AskMyGyn.com will donate 25 cents to Doctors Without Borders for every question asked. So, you are not only getting the information needed, you are helping some victims of war and disaster indirectly in getting the medical attention needed by volunteered doctors and nurses as well.

So, if you have any question about birth control, pap smears, vaginal infection or breast care, just check out the articles or ask the gynecologists at AskMyGyn.com.
