My boy has been learning piano for 1 and a half year, and he’s learning violin at school. I’m glad that he’s picking up 2 instruments now, but he doesn’t want to learn violin properly. All the kids at school are learning violin at their music class and with only 1 period a week, you can’t expect to see much progress.
Thus, I bought a violin for the kids so that they can practice at home, or just treat it as a toy. 
I would use musician friends coupon code to get another one at cheaper price, but their music teacher suggested that I just get one for both kids to share. Furthermore, my gal can’t quite get it right yet.

Sam, not buying the second one until my boy has grown taller. Their school teacher suggested that they share only one at home for the time being. Yes, violin is part of their curriculum.
