Simple Little Fish Bento

When I mean simple, it’s really very simple. This little fish can be done in less than 5 minutes, after you have got everything packed and ready. All you need is a small mini wiener cut into thick slices, a heart pick, and some nori and kamaboko (or artificial crab meat) for facial decoration.

So, here are the little cute fishes:

My gal’s little fish, swimming towards the octopus. :P

My boy’s fish has 2 picks, and I love the crown. :)

The picks nailed the wieners to the bread, so the fishes are well secured. As for the bubbles, I think they will move around if my kids snake the bentos.

Here’s what I did previously, but it’s a goldfish bento.

P/S: This bento was added to What’s for lunch Wednesday Week 4 as well.

Ultra cute and I love the idea of using the wiener and picks (for the tail) for the fish!

Oh my, I’m every time impressed by your tiny cut outs! How little must your nori stamps and others be. Can you tell me where I can buy them?

    Thanks KidsDreamWork and Tona-mama. :)

Lil’chan, I used the smiley puncher from Carl’s. My friend got the punchers from me, if I’m not mistaken, bentocraft.com is selling some Carl’s too.

These are so beautiful (the bentos & the pictures), I just love the sweet little fish!

Wanted to invite you to come link up on What’s for Lunch Wednesdays if you’d like to. It’s just a simple bento link-up, once a week on my blog, add a favorite lunch & picture. It starts on Wednesdays and runs through the following Tuesday, then a new one starts again. Would love to have you, your bentos are just amazing!

Thanks for the invitation, Shannon. It’s added already. I hope that I can remember to do so for future rounds. :P I can be quite forgetful. LOL!

Michelle, welcome to my blog. :) Maybe you can start with some simple sandwiches. I started blogging about my bentos in Aug / Sep 2008, I think. You can go thru my achieves and see how my early bentos are. :)
