The Red Protesters
I’ve wanted to blog about the Red protesters for days, but didn’t manage to do so due to workload. Anyway, I just wanna say, Bangkok is in the state of emergency again, and I know that the news back home sound pretty bad. But then, we are doing fine here.
Last Saturday, I was “caught” in the sea of Reds when I drove along Viphavadee Rangsit Road to pick up hubby from his work place. His office is located at the hot spot, so it’s unavoidable. I didn’t realized that I was in the midst of red protesters, until I saw more than 50 motorcyclists around me in Red. LOL! Anyway, nothing happened. It was just like a parade, which I accidentally got into it.
They haven’t done anything violent so far, since it’s claimed to be a non-violence protest. Oh well, after almost 2 years in Bangkok, I’m getting numb to the politics. All I know is, if you are rich, you can “pay people” to do things for you.
So, I’m not going to wear anything Red or yellow for the time being. Thank god I didn’t get any tradisional Chinese wedding invitations and Chinese New Year is over as well. No red clothes please.
