Simple Smiley Sandwich Bento

A friend told me that she can tell if my hubby is working away for days. I would normally pack less bentos that week, and hardly update my Facebook. She’s right, whenever hubby is away, I don’t need to pack much, and I don’t have time for FB. :P You can easily tell that I’m too occupied with work, kids and chores and I’m trying my best to keep my sanity. LOL!

Hubby came back from Malaysia with my latest purchase from BentoCraft. I love the Tomica Fire Engine bento, and so does my boy. So, I packed something simple for the kids today.

My boy’s Tomica Fire Engine bento, with cheese sandwiches, a mini wiener and fruits.

My gal has smaller sandwiches.

Very simple huh? :)

Though he’s away on business, it’s nice to anticipate new bento toys!
The Tomica fire engine is so unique! I’ve only seen the car. Very very cute as always :)

Simple but way too cute … :) With your helping hands are away, I can imagine how busy you are. But still you can manage a great bento like this one.

Since I am starting to do bento, could recommend top five must have items, so I dont going around buying unnecessary stuff ?

Sherimiya, you can check out bentocraft.com for the fire engine bento. It’s new arrival. :)

Lia Chen, he’s back now, he was away last week. That’s why I’m back to kyaraben. LOL!

    Lil’ Chan, thanks!

Kim Heok, it’s a shoe puncher. I bought it from bentomarket.com previously, but I guess it’s out of stock now. Please check out bentocraft.com and see if it is still available. It’s a green shoe puncher, with facial expression. For beginners, try to get
    1. Bento boxes
    2. Punchers!
    3. Cutters (wheel cutters with various shapes or those assorted cutters from 100Yen will be fine)
    4. Tweezers
    5. Cute picks.
And the list goes one. :)

I saw that fire engine bento box too and was undecided if I should get it when I was in Ipoh last weekend. Ended up I did not as I have too many boxes at home! And it will be bulky and my hubby will get suspicious! hahahaha Carmen was nice to deliver some of the stuff to me.
