Kim, these are tangerines, so the skin can be easily peeled off. Same goes to some Thai oranges and mandarines.

Ghus, you can use some jam or butter to stick the seaweed. As long as the kids don’t shake it too hard, they will stay in place, unless the decorative parts all stick together, then it will be out of place.
