Mini Hello Kitty Bento and Cute Strawberry Kids

My 3-year-old is going for her first field trip today, and we are all excited about it! Her class is going to the dinosaur museum in Bangkok city, but I’m not sure what’s the name of the place. I still can’t read Thai! That’s why hubby and I can’t figure out the name of the museum, but we did pass by the building before when we were in the city area.

Thus, I fixed her a simple bento for the trip by using her mini Hello Kitty lunch box.

My gal’s mini Hello Kitty and Cathy (the bunny) bento for field trip. Besides strawberry jam sandwiches, there are seedless grapes in her bento too.

Here are the tools used for this mini bento:

I packed an ice gel in her bento bag too as part of the decoration involved cheese. Hopefully, the cheese won’t melt when she’s having her bento.

If you are new here, you may want to find out more about the food ingredient used for this bento in my Flickr photos.

Besides this mini bento, I packed the usual tea bentos for my kids too, which they will have after school at our office.

My boy’s bento with peanut butter and blueberry jam sandwiches, some rose apple, mango, a rambutan, and a strawberry and quail egg decorated as a little boy.

Here’s my gal’s bento with the same bento meal.

As you can see, I did’t spend a lot of time preparing the details, and I only used some punchers to decorate the faces.

The flower puncher from Daiso and my favorite paw and smiley punchers by Carl’s.

I shall link the bento photos to my Flickr account, and if you are interested to know more about the bento, please click on the photos. Thanks!

I kesian all the other mothers who will get a lot of request from their kids for Hello Kitty sandwiches as well. Haha! Still, it’s very nice :)

Have put in the vote. The registration process is very long. If nothing comes out of it, it was a fun journey. :)

BTW, thanks for stopping by the site. LOL! The connection speed has vastly improved so it was possible to get to the website. Streamyx DNS servers having major issues a couple of months back.

Now having to get back into the swing of making bentos after 1 week off for Gawai. Not easy lah.

Ah, forgot to tell you one thing. Going on 1 week break makes me forget things.

To find CARL punchers, you may have to go to art supply shops. In Kuching, I find most of the punchers in this art supplies shop and they havea lot of it. I just reused a lot of old ones that I had bought years ago when I was doing some Xmas cards (that in the end I didn’t do. >.< )

Stationary shops will not usually carry these items unless they are very big shops with a lot of products. Places like Parkson, Isetan may/may not have it.

Other way is to contact the Singapore HQ and ask them for contacts in Malaysia.

Joyce, oh, that’s the signature heart bread roll by Kaerenmama, a popular Japanese blogger. :) You spread the jam on the bread, then fold it in halves lightly so that you can see the vague line. Then, u open the bread again, and fold both ends to touch the vague line. And fold the bread in halves again. Mmm…I’m not sure if u know what I mean. LOL!
It’s like u do a 1/4 roll, both sides, then fold it into 1/2 roll.
You will need to wrap the bread roll in cling wrap for a while to hold the shape, and after a few minutes, you can cut it into smaller pieces. :)

Wena, thanks for the link. I think Carls dun distribute their punchers in Thailand, that’s why I haven’t found any here. :( Hopefully, I can find some when i fly back to malaysia next time. Gee…really dunno when will I go back! LOL!

Hmm…u sure about that? It would be strange if Thailand doesn’t have Carl stationaries. The common stationaries, they should have e.g. stapler, paper puncher.

Did your colleagues say anything? Very hard to imagine Bangkok not having it.

Never mind, I just drop a quick email to Carlacraft in Singapore. See how long they take to respond. Singaporeans are extremely efficient. Haha!
