Pandapple Char Siew Pau Bento
I still have a few mini char siew pau in the freezer, so I packed some for my kids today. I saw this character called Pandaple from Sanrio website the other day, and thought that it’s cute for bentos. So, today’s theme is char siew pau, decorated as Pandaple.
Since I can take my sweet time in preparing today’s bentos, I took some photos on how I prepared Pandaple.

I prepared 2 mini char siew pau, and 2 pieces of artificial crab meat.

Gently take out the red top layer of the artificial crab meat and wrap it on the buns.

Then, I pinned 2 seedless grapes to the bun as ears with spaghetti strips.

I added the leaf picks to the buns since Pandapple has a leaf on its head.

After that, I punched some nori with this shoe puncher and added the face details.
Thus, here’s the end result:

My gal’s bento with Pandapple char siew pau, a mini wiener, a piece of rose apple, some edamame and oranges.

I dipped some ketchup on the buns with a toothpick so that Pandapple has rosey cheeks.
This is my 3rd attempt with char siew pau, and if you are interested to see my other bentos with barbecued pork buns, check out Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and Hamtaro. Today’s bento is speedy again and it won’t take a lot of time in preparing Pandapple, if you use buns. So, what am I going to do now as I have another hour to go before picking up my kids from school? Play PS3 or watch some drama series? LOL! Frankly, I can’t wait to get back to office next week!
