Bento#137: A Cat and A Teddy Bear

I’ve started to go back to office today, after removing my stitches in the morning. My kids will still be at home with my mom for a few more days. To make them feel better with “mommy’s not being at home”, I fixed something speedy and simple for them as their afternoon tea before leaving to work.

I used white bread and wholemeal bread to fix a cat and a teddy bear each for their bentos, and packed some fruits for them too. So, here are the bentos:

My boy’s bento with a teddy bear. Too bad the wholemeal bread is not dark enough for color contrast. There are some green mangoes, strawberries and kiwis too, besides his peanut butter sandwiches.

My gal’s strawberry jam sandwiches with a sleeping cat.

If you are wondering how the sandwiches are done, please refer to Bento#80 because it’s something similar. :)

Try this bun receipe? – http://singairishgirl.blogspot.com/2008/10/more-buns.html

Wow, I haven’t been visiting so have only just caught up with your posts. Oh yes, friend showed me link to the contest. Sounds fun. Glad to hear that your wound is healing well and really love the wolf & red riding hood bento. It looks simple enough, but you always add in your little touches to make them wow! I can’t even draw a wolf lol! Take care.

Hi! I came across your fascinating bento site thru allthingspurple’s. I must say both of u have inspired me so much I couldn resist it that I’ve planned a trip to visit all the Daisos in Bangkok.
If u know of this place in Bangkok called Sukhumvit road, would you mind to give some comment whether is it a good place to shop for clothes n bento stuff? The hotel I’m planning to stay is located near BTS skytrain Nana station, so does it mean convenient for travelling around Bangkok?
    Tq!
