Bento#115: Happy Valentine’s Day

I thought I won’t be packing bentos, but I was wrong. My kids wanted their lunch in lunch boxes, so I might as well make them more appealing.

It’s fried noodles with pea sprouts and minced pork, a piece of roast pig rib, blanched broccoli, and some fish balls. I used carrot, cheese, mini wiener, kamaboko, sweet potato and edamame as decoration.

After packing for them, I felt like packing one for hubby too. I saw Jacss packing for her hub, and my friends told me that they would do bentos too via MSN, so let’s join in the fun loh. LOL! Here’s hubby’s bento…

A bento for my Valentine (BTW, what’s the pick in Japanese says? :P )

I’m not sure what will he think about this bento, but I try not to make it too cute. I don’t think him can take cutie stuffs as much as our kids do!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

I had to smile when I saw the bento you made for your Hubby. How did he find it? I know mine would starve (or quickly remove the offending pieces) than take out this super-cute bento out to eat LOL

I admire your attention to detail – I can’t stand delicate work :P

Ellena, thanks! That heart shape egg was actually a normal sunny side up, but i cut it with a heart cutter later. I can’t seem to get the pancake mold right…

Jacss, it’s the heart and love that count! LOL! Your bento is great also. :)

Lovelymummy, good la, my hub said no rasa, just eat the food. :P

xbb, thanks for telling me about the translation.

    Annie Q, thank you!

Kittycat, he said he just go for the food woh. :P Cute no cute also no difference, that explains why I don’t pack bentos for him, unless on special days. LOL!
