Bento#108: Little Lamb Bento
My gal likes Mary Had a Little Lamb, and it’s one of her favorite nursery rhymes. I did try to fix her a lamb with origiri, but it didn’t turn out nice. In fact, I think it looked weird. LOL!
So, I decided to do this again, but just on strawberry jam sandwiches.

I used the divider of the lunch boxes to cut the bread so that the sandwich could be placed nicely in the lunch box.

As you can see, I did the same for My Melody lunch box too.

Then, I packed the fruits, which include mangoes, oranges, and cherry tomatoes or strawberries respectively for my boy and my gal. I used a baran to separate the bread from the fruits so that it wouldn’t get moist.
Here’s how I did the little lambs.

I used a heart cutter to cut out the lamb’s head from the leftover ham of Bento#106. I tend to wrap the leftover in food wrapped and keep it refrigerated in an air tight container, if it’s a bigger piece. Just heat it up by boiling it for a while, if you prefer, for the next use.

Other cutters were used for today’s bentos too.

And these are the Carla’s Craft punchers I used for the bentos.
So, here’s the end result…

My gal’s bento with Mary Had a Little Lamb. The heart showed how Mary adored her lamb.

No Mary for my boy, who actually wanted Power Ranger *slap head*. I added some cloud shaped sweet potatoes for him.
I know that I should fix him the red Power Ranger, but it’s a bit time consuming to trace and cut the face feature. So, wait la, my boy…

Hi Amy,
Waiting and reading your daily bento has becoming a habit and we are just like little kids who are exciting about what to have for the bento today……It’s so excited as to wait for the review of the day bento…. Wow.. I have never seen the cute fork and spoon craft puncher b4… u really have a lot of bento gadgets
Em… i notice that you always have sweet potato slices for the bento… so does it mean u steam it everyday or you kept it in the fridge and just cut out the shape as when you need? Thanks for sharing the tip….
Ellena, thanks for dropping by for every post! LOL! Today’s sweet potato is leftover from yesterday. It’s one big piece which I steamed yesterday, and gave some to my boy for breakfast. I stored with wrap and air tight container, and took it out this morning and cut into smaller shapes. My boy finished the rest of the potato again.
If you prefer, you can re steam it for a while, but so far, my kids are OK with cold food, as long as it’s not contaminated and well cooked.
The little lamb so so cute!!! I love it!! I just love the small small tiny detail u put as deco, make the bento more liveful.
Wow!! I really like tis bento! So nice and u so lucky to get the fork&spoon punch!

Annie Q and Hui Sia, thanks! *blush*
Tona-mama, the cloud was cut with the yellow wheel cutter, these cutters are meant for face details. I use the cloud cutter to form the wool on the lamb’s head too.
Great arrangement. Can’t wait for your power ranger pictures and tutorials cos its a fav with my son.
You are so creative and so inspirational to me.
Tks for the idea of using the bento box to cut the shape. Never would have thought of that. The lamb is very nice, and so is every thing. Very very patient. I can’t get those punchers in Singapore unfortunately.
The lamb is so cute. You put in so many little details that totally transform the bento from nice to gorgeous.
