Stressful Days

I’m very busy in Bangkok and I tend to lose my temper on my kids too. They are really driving me up the wall, but come to think about it, they might be having a hard time getting adjusted just like I do. Besides that, they are following us to work and their routines are all messed up, so it’s understandable that they are getting very fussy.

I think I really need some herbal supplement like kava to reduce my stress and improve my health. I can’t fall sick now and I need to keep my cool. It’s bad scolding and lecturing my kids all the time, so I have to control myself better now.

Kids, I’m sorry that I yelled.

Lactating Chinese Policewoman Breastfeeding Earthquake Babies

I’ve wanted to write about this when I first came across the news, but as you know, I have been pretty busy lately. Nonetheless, it’s not too late to do so as I really admire the selflessness of Jiang Xiaojuan, 29, in helping the other babies. She is a policewoman, and some people think that it’s not appropriate for her to expose herself in public. But at times like this, she was just acting on her mother instinct in providing those babies with milk, comfort and security. Her 6 months old then was being taken care by her mother as she was on duty. She is instantly became “China’s Mother No. 1.” after the news was spread, but Jiang didn’t think that it’s a big deal breastfeeding the babies of disaster at all.

Frankly, I’m so touched by how she’s helping out at a hard time like this in Szechuan.

Keeping Kids Busy On Plane

My kids travel a lot with us, and my little girl started flying when she was 4 months old. It was easier traveling with a young baby since she slept most of the time and I didn’t have to pack a lot because she was breastfed exclusively. It was a bliss flying with her until she turned 1 and a half. During her first trip to Bangkok, she made a big fuss on the plane when we were flying back. I know that lots of passengers were pretty annoyed by the 2 hours flight with a crying and fussy toddler, but I couldn’t do much. She just didn’t want to settle down even if she was really sleepy.

But for our recent flight, she behaved well. We brought along some color pencils and books for her and she did some scribbling. Besides that, she brought along her doll and she played with her for a while.

She cried for milk but after that she took a nap. Thus, my 2 year old did well on the plane and I was so proud of her. I guess we just need to prepare well for our journey then. We will be flying more often for the next 6 months.

Free Online Drug Tool

Most of my blog buddies have started out more blogs in different niches because they are still serious about making money from blogging. I can’t do this anymore since I am pretty busy with my kids and a new life in Bangkok. I can’t seem to update all my existing blogs now, so let alone building new ones.

But if my any of my buddies have a medical blog, maybe they should try the free online drug reference tool for medical websites. It’s a widget which you can find more information about a drug. If you are interested, find out more about this from Epocrates.

Stem Cell from Menstrual Blood

When I was younger, I really wondered why should we have menstrual cycle every 28 days as it was so troublesome and I couldn’t enjoy my regular swimming or ballet as usual. But once I’ve become a mother, I started to appreciate this wonderful cycle which allows me to enjoy motherhood if I get pregnant at the right time.

Nonetheless, I’ve never thought that menstrual fluid can be harvested for its stem cell and be used for regeneration of useful cell. We stored our daughter’s stem cell when she was delivered. There is a cancer history in my family, so I thought we might just keep it.

But even if you are late to do so for your daughters or yourself, you can still keep the stem cell from your menstrual blood which has always been treated as a waste. Just check out the link if you are interested to know All About C’elle. I found that the introductory price is quite affordable, so besides getting your Celle Order Now, you can also Become C’elle Distributor if you are from US. I don’t think we have this service here yet, but who knows, it might be available one day.

Leaving Soon

I know that I don’t update this blog as much as before as we are leaving for Bangkok soon. I have been pretty busy lately and I might still be very occupied for the first few months in Bangkok.

My first priority will be helping my kids in getting adjusted and adapted to a new environment. After that, I need to help hubby with his work. I guess my blogs will not be updated unless it’s necessary, and my Mac memory will be idle for a while as I hardly have time to use it. LOL!

Anyway, it’s a new start, so I hope that things will turn well.

Lost and Found

I was composing the previous post and suddenly there was a power failure. I thought I lost my post, but thanks to computer memory and auto save function, my post was still there when the power returned. Luckily, it’s not one of those lengthy posts with photos and emotional details. LOL!

Anyway, it’s a weekend and I have plans for my family. Have a nice weekend ya?

Bringing Kids to Movie

Hubby bought tickets for Kung Fu Panda last night, and we are going to bring our kids to movie for the very first time. I’m not sure if my little gal will cry in the dark cinema, or my boy will be asking lots of questions about the show and disturbing the audience, but it’s time to take the first step. Both hubby and I are movie freaks, but we hardly have time for movie now unless we have someone to look after the kids for us. We have always thought that they are not ready until last night. :P

So, I’m going to dress them well as it’s pretty cold in the cinema. Then, we need to grab popcorns and drinks for the kids to keep them occupied with food. LOL! It should be a great experience for them and if they like the movie, we will try going to the cinema with them more often if there are movies which are suitable for kids.

It will be a nice way of spending quality family time. Besides that, it’s so much cheaper than spending on Hilton Head rentals for a family trip huh?

Kids at Work

Hubby and I talk a lot about what and how are we going to help our kids in getting adapted in Bangkok later. We need to start a new business there, but we know that it’s not a good idea to send them to preschool so soon. We want them to get used to the new environment and learn some basic Thai language and culture before going to school in the following month. So, they will be going to work with us at our office.

I’m not sure if hubby can concentrate on doing his job, but for the time being, we don’t have other option. They will have to follow us everywhere we go until they are ready for school. Luckily, we are not some California auto insurance agents and I will be working at the office most of the time, so my kids can just stay there with me until I finish work. If both of us have to be out and about all day long, I don’t think my kids can take it.

In short, it’s always hard in the beginning, but I know we will get used to it and things will be better soon.

Counting Down…

My kid woke up yesterday and told me that he’s not going to school anymore. He’s going to Bangkok school later once we move there. It seems like both my children are mentally prepared to shift to another country and start fresh again in a foreign land. They have been there before, but a vacation is totally different from relocation.

One thing for sure, I’m going to be very busy initially and I wonder if I will lose more weight this time. Most of my friends said that I am getting slimmer, so it sounds like something good to me. LOL! At least I won’t have to spend money on Hydroxycut Max or any expensive slimming program huh?

We are counting down to the day we fly. It’s just around the corner…
