Teaching Kids About The Value Of Money
I found that this article is very inspiring because I can be very lenient to my kids when it comes to money. Most of the time, I will get them whatever they want if I can afford it, that’s why hubby said I’m spoiling them. Sometimes, I feel bad of not getting them the toys they ask because they are not expensive at all and by buying them something that can make them feel so happy for hours! That’s why I tend to be very soft-hearted with my kids.
That’s why we try to bring the kids for picnic and reducing our shopping trips during the weekends. When it comes to buying toys, we will make some agreement on the number of toys to get for each kid and the budget involved. Besides that, my boy has started saving up coins in his piggy bank and after a few months we will get my gal a piggy bank as well.
Maybe my kids will turn out to be shopaholics as well, but if they know what they are spending on, I will have less worries.
