Job Discrimination

I overheard a conversation between a mother and their kids one day, and I doubt that was a right way of education the children. The mother asked her kids to study hard so that they will not end up working as construction workers, just like those Indonesian workers in our country. I think it’s not right to teach the kids in such a way. They will learn to discriminate people and looking down at them by the jobs they are doing.

Some of the workers at construction field can be considered as professionals, in their professions. It’s not easy to operate the heavy machinery equipments and they are specially trained at Heavy Equipment Operator School. A good heavy equipment operator school like ATS may even help the students to get jobs at construction fields, after they are graduated. Besides, do you think you can work under the sun all day long while running the heavy machines? It takes a lot of physical hardship to do the job right.

Not everyone will end up as a doctor or a lawyer. Without these construction workers, we don’t even have a roof over our head. So, that is not the way I am going to bring up my kids.
