Supplements for Nursing Mum?
I have been a moo for 2 times, and throughout my days as a nursing mum, I watched my diet carefully because I realized that whatever I eat may affect the quality of the milk my baby is feeding on. Thus, I hardly take any supplement except my multivitamins.
However, there are various health supplement these days, and most of them can be consumed without consulting a doctor, if you are healthy as normal. However, I tried not to take the risk, even if there are lots of supplements out there that are claimed to be beneficial and safe for consumption by nursing mum. Even if it is claimed to be made of herbs, I would prefer to have some advice from the doctor or further information before I take it.
For example, colloidal silver is a very popular healthy drink these days. It is claimed to be effective in boost your immunity if you are taking it daily. It contains Mesosilver, which is the 0.9999 pure silver sub-nanometer sized particles suspended in pure deionized water. Even if colloidal silver is a healthy drink, please bear in mind that it has not been tested or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. At the same time, it was not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat or cure any disease.
So, for nursing mums, if you would like to try out, please consult your doctor first.
