One of My Fears in Parenting
Hubby and I are practicing the openly method of bringing up our kids. We would like our kids to be open with us and talk to us like friends when they are facing any issues during their growing up years. But I’m fully aware of the peer influence when they are teens, and hopefully, with our proper guidance, they have good judgment in deciding what is good from what is bad.
The reason why I have this thought is because one of my greatest fear in parenting is drug abuse. I have seen some kids getting involved in drugs and lost themselves because they were not being sent to drug rehabilitation due to parents’ denial or other factors.
But I will surely send mine to rehab if they have issues with drugs! Touch wood, I don’t wish that to happen though.
