Baby Sign Language
One of the way which parents can communicate better with little babies are by using baby sign language. I bought a book about this months before my first child was born and was eager to teach him when he’s a few months old. But he didn’t catch what I was trying to do at first, furthermore, he learned how to talk very early. However, he would use some of the signs on the words that he couldn’t pronounce.
Don’t worry that if you can’t remember most of the signs, me too. I only use a few on my kids. Some of them were modified too, like the sign for “some more” because they can’t do the actual one, so I modify into a simple sign for them. As long as your child’s caregivers and the rest of the family members know about the signs, it will be good enough.
It can be frustrating for baby and toddler with they are trying to express themselves, but no one understands. Thus, if you are practicing baby sign language at home, make sure that the important people about your child understand some of the signs as well.
Signing with your baby is fun. Try it out.

I second what you said, it is really fun!
Alternative-mom, you are signing too?
