Mommy’s Girl

I went out with hubby and Justin just now. Hubby wanted to get something. We were driving around from one hypermarket to another as the first one was very congested, and we couldn’t get in the car park. By the time we had done shopping, it’s way past Isabelle’s bedtime.

As we reached home, I could hear that she’s crying and screaming upstairs. My mum told us that she was fine until bedtime. She refused to take formula and was crying for me. Oh boy, my little girl was really crying hard! I felt guilty of not bring her along as I thought we would only be going out for a while.

Poor girl, she was really insecure. My mom even complained that most breastfed babies are very clingy to their mothers. That’s why she’s crying for me, even if she is ok with grandma during the day.

Well, there are lots of myths about breastfeeding. And no doubt, one of them is breastfed babies are more clingy to mothers. However, I don’t think this is true. Justin used to be very attached to me. But now, he prefers to play with daddy most of the time. The only time when he still wants me is bedtime, and that is because daddy is away most of the time.

Thus, don’t let others tell influence you about all these myths, unless they are breastfeeding mothers too. :P
